MISSION 5: SEVERNAYA – STAGE 1: SURFACE
After the Pirate left, the same satellite observed a troop helicopter being made ready at a Spetznaz camp, 200 miles due south. The only way that we can get you there quickly is to drop you from a spy plane, and the Soviet Special Forces will be there before you.
Objectives:
1- Disrupt All Surveillance Equipment (00 Agent)
2- Break the Communications Link to the Bunker (Agent)
3- Disable Spetznaz Support Aircraft (Secret Agent)
4- Gain Entry to the Bunker (Agent)
M. Briefing: You should remember this place, 007. We need any evidence of Janus’ presence there, and fast. Disable the troop helicopter so that nothing can be removed from the scene, and destroy their surveillance cameras.
This had to be an inside job, Bond. Find out who their contact was – the macabre way to do it would be to use their casualty list. Of course, you’d have to know who was there first.
Q Branch: Right, I’ve altered the standard mine to take a ten-second fuse. There’s only one, so don’t play around with it. That should take care of their helicopter. This is a covert op, so I’ve fitted a silence to your pistol. Satisfied? No? Well, tough; that’s all you’re getting.

MISSION 5: SEVERNAYA – STAGE 1: SURFACE – MAPS
These declassified maps from MI6 give a satellite view of the Surface – our intelligence has also taken great care to provide internal blueprints for any area that our cameras haven’t been able to peer inside of, giving you complete visibility of every location in your mission. SEVERNAYA INSTALLATION, SIBERIAN PLATEAU
Now that you’re back here, the enemy will be ready for you. The map is exactly the same this time, but the objectives are different and will have you on edge. You’ll start off in the same spot. Trek forward carefully; there are Spetznaz troops all over the place, but if you take them out from a distance, they can’t be much of a problem. If they come in numbers, you could be in trouble. Stick to the right side of the level all the way until you reach a hut with a security camera watching the entrance. Snipe out the camera par your objective and go inside for body armor.
Now you should head for the giant communications building. There will be another camera outside to destroy. Avoid the soldiers as best you can and enter the tower. Climb up to where you found the communications console. Don’t touch it this time; blow it up any way you can. Soldiers are bound to find you, so make your way out swiftly.
There is still more surveillance equipment to destroy. Remember where those two sets of huts were? You need to go to those. There is a camera at each twin set of huts. Take those out, of course, but your top priority here should be to avoid enemies. They have you cornered here, so stay aloof.
Head toward the bunker entrance. Don’t bother with the ventilation shaft; they welded that secure. Find your way to the main bunker entrance. It should stick out because there is a big helicopter there. On 00 Agent, you have to blow this up with explosives. Otherwise, head into the front door of the last place you’d ever want to go. Don’t expect to be welcomed, though.
