DATADYNE OPERATIONS BASE II: MAP OVERVIEW
MISSION OBJECTIVES:

• SWITCH OFF POWER MATRIX
• DOWNLOAD CRASH DATA FROM MAINFRAME
• LOCATE CRASH SITE
From the entrance of the second base you’ll need to head to the east, positioning yourself so that you’re passing underneath a section of stacked metal crates. When you arrive at the last crate, you’ll locate a guard patrolling to the south – remain hidden behind the crate and then assassinate the guard as he crosses your path.
Inspect the guard once you’ve taken him out and you’ll recover another Fantom as well as a Machine Gun clip.
As we’re already equipped with a Fantom we’ll have no need for a second, so we’ll leave it behind as we collect the Machine Gun ammunition on its own.
From the fallen guard, we’re going to begin our cautious exploration to the immediate north, passing through a narrow path until we’re greeted with a wall displaying the dataDyne insignia. There’s a single guard to the left of this insignia, facing southward as he stands at attention – you’ll need to approach him cautiously, hugging the wall as you make your way to the west. When you arrive at the doorway, stay close to the wall as you wrap around corner and you’ll prevent yourself from being spotted. From here, you can either assassinate the guard from the side, or pass him and return for a shot in the back.
Once the guard has been dealt with, inspect his body for a Falcon 2 clip, and then switch over to the Fantom before continuing north into the glass tunnel. Up ahead you’ll find a point where the tunnel branches off to the west; it’s at this junction that we’ll find the next dataDyne guard heading towards our position, and ready to open fire. Without much recourse for stealth, we’ll need to respond in kind with our Fantom and dispatch the guard as soon as possible. You will invariably take some damage during this encounter, but it shouldn’t cause you too much concern.
Swap out the Fantom with Falcon 2 and then Continue walking to the north to find the next area, where your presence will be obscured by a desk. From this vantage point, you should be able to locate the next guard ahead as he paces the length of the room horizontally. When he reaches the wall on the left, he’ll turn his heel and head to the right; this is your chance to begin your approach and bridge the distance. Once you’ve caught up to the guard, assassinate him covertly with the Falcon 2 and then collect the Laptop Computer found on the right side of the desk to complete your first mission objective.
From here, we’re going to return to the point in the glass tunnel where the path had split and make our way through to the west. We’re going to avoid a patrolling guard in the room ahead by crossing the threshold briefly and then immediately heading south as soon as possible. If you’ve managed to avoid detection, you’ll be able to pass a row of metal crates and then arrive at the southweastern corner.
From here, we’ll follow the wall to the left, passing a number of crates until we’ve arrived at the southwest corner. Hug the wall as you travel north and eventually you’ll locate the next guard when you’ve arrived at the northwest corner. Luckily, the guard is standing at attention facing to the east, so he won’t notice as you approach him from behind with a covert assassination. The other guard we avoided in this area can be dealt with in a similar manner, however, since our path ahead isn’t blocked, and neither guards will offer us any supplies, we’re going to instead leave this area behind and head north through the glass tunnel.
Once you’ve reached the end of the tunnel, switch out the Falcon 2 for the Fantom and prepare for another firefight. This time, the guard can be found to the northwest of the entrance, which means that you’ll need to sprint out diagonally and begin returning fire as soon as you’ve come in contact. Once you’ve taken out the guard, inspect his body for a Machine Gun clip, and then work your way to the Door Control panel along the northern wall. Interface with the panel and you’ll be provided with a six-combination color pattern – solve it, and the locked door to the left will open, allowing us to go deeper into the base…
