ATTACK CYBORG II

With the Laptop Computer secured, Joanna prepares to locate the dataDyne Mainframe to begin the data retrieval. Darting across an empty corridor and into a large bay, the agents’ ears prick as she makes out the sound of hydraulic hissing in the darkness. The noise grows with intensity until a mechanical Cyborg has emerged from the shadows, fixing its hostile gaze on her current position. Joanna braces herself as the Cyborg approaches, hoping that it hasn’t been upgraded since her encounter in the Manufacturing Facility…

ATTACK CYBORG II: MAP OVERVIEW

MISSION OBJECTIVES:
• FIND LAPTOP COMPUTER
• SWITCH OFF POWER MATRIX
• DOWNLOAD CRASH DATA FROM MAINFRAME
• LOCATE CRASH SITE

The Cyborg will waste little time getting started, so you’ll need to begin sprinting as soon as possible to avoid its heat-seeking missiles. Utilizing the same strategy in our previous encounter, we’ll need to survive the onslaught of missiles until the Cyborg positions itself in either corner of the room. Once the opportunity presents itself, you’ll need to reach one of the Ion Cannons along the catwalk and open fire on the machine to temporarily disable it. The Ion Cannons will need time to recharge with each attempt, so the most efficient procedure is to fire two successful shots from one cannon, and then utilize the other as it reloads.

The largest temptation you’ll need to avoid during the attack is arriving too late at the Ion Cannon, yet still trying to secure a shot in the face of danger. This will only result in sustaining unnecessary damage, so plan your route accordingly and be prepared to avoid the Ion Cannon if the Cyborg has begun its assault. Remember – there will always be more chances. Keep your own survival paramount as you continue to sprint across the catwalk avoiding the missiles, and return fire only when viable. When the Cyborgs health bar has been converted entirely to red, you’ll put the mechanical monstrosity out of commission.
