DATADYNE OPERATIONS BASE IV: MAP OVERVIEW

MISSION OBJECTIVES:
• FIND LAPTOP COMPUTER
• SWITCH OFF POWER MATRIX
• DOWNLOAD CRASH DATA FROM MAINFRAME
• LOCATE CRASH SITE

From the entrance of the fourth dataDyne Operations Base, we’ll begin heading left to find the southwest corner of the hallway and then travel north to locate the first dataDyne guard. Switch over from the Shotgun to the Falcon 2, and then approach the guard cautiously until you can execute an assassination.
Although this guard has supplies on his person, we’ll avoid inspecting him at this time as it would be wise to leave the Med-Kit (25% Health Restore) behind for our return trip.

Step over the guards body and you should be able to locate a doorway to the left – to remain undetected, you’ll need to position yourself as far north as you possibly can before crossing the threshold. With this accomplished, you’ll enter the room aligned with a desk as you walk left, obscuring Joanna from the guard that paces horizontally on the other side. Wait until the guard turns away, and then take him out with a Shotgun blast before he has the chance to turn around. Once the guard is taken out, approach the table to the south to acquire the final Key Card that will give us full security clearance in the West Wing.

We’ll return to the hallway by retracing our steps, heading south as soon as we’ve crossed the threshold to position ourselves in the southwest corner once again. From here, we’ll begin traveling to our immediate right so that we pass the entrance to the Operations Base and discover the southeastern corner. We’ll mirror our actions that lead to the first guard by heading north from this corner to discover the second guard. Using the Falcon 2 here isn’t advisable, as the guard will leave his station if you approach too closely, so use the Shotgun to keep your distance and take him out with a single shot. Enter the doorway to your right, and head south as soon as you cross over the threshold.

You’ll pass a few rows of Power Matrix generators before you arrive at the the southwest corner of the room – from here, travel to the opposite corner to the right, and then head north until you can locate the guard patrolling horizontally. You’ll remain concealed as long as you remain on the right side of the generators, so wait until the guard turns away and then catch him in the back with a Shotgun blast. Ignore inspecting the guard, and instead continue to the north to arrive at the Power Matrix voltage switch in the corner of the room. Approaching it will prompt Joanna to operate the lever, completing our second objective.

After the power has been cut, we’ll turn our Shotgun on the final dataDyne guard to the left of the switch and take him out before he can react. From here, we’ll travel back through the rows of generators to arrive at the first fallen guard and give him an overdue inspection for a Machine Gun clip and a Fantom. Take the Machine Gun clip and then retrace your steps back through the Power Matrix room and into the hallway – from here we’ll head south back through the fourth Operations Base entrance to return to the Atrium in the third Operations Base.

DATADYNE OPERATIONS BASE III – ATRIUM: MAP OVERVIEW

You won’t greet any resistance in the Atrium, as we’ve already neutralized the guards in this area, so you’re free to sprint to the entrance of the East Wing. To arrive at this location, head south from your current position and pass through the previously-locked security door, and then continue to the left to discover the guard that we assassinated on our first pass. Step over the guards body with as much reverence as you see fit, and then enter the lower tunnel to gain access to the West Wing.

OPERATIONS BASE III – WEST WING: MAP OVERVIEW

There are three dataDyne guards in the West Wing, and we’re going to assassinate them with the Falcon 2 in a clockwise fashion to remain undercover.
From your current position, head south to arrive at the corner underneath the entrance. We’re going to follow the perimeter of this room, so we’ll head to the east and then south as soon as it’s possible to do so. You’ll pass between a section of metal crates and the wall until you arrive at another corner.
From here, we’ll trace the wall to the east and discover the location of the first dataDyne guard, who faces to the north. Approach the guard covertly from behind and then assassinate him with the Falcon 2.

Once the guard has been taken out, we’ll hug the wall to left and then begin heading north to find the next dataDyne guard in front of a glass tunnel. This guard is facing to the east, so we’ll need to stay tight along the wall so that we can get behind the guard without compromising our position. Once you’ve managed to sneak up behind the guard undetected, fire off the second shot from the Falcon 2 and you’ll assassinate him without resistance. The final dataDyne guard is stationed to the north, so you’ll need to carry up through the narrow passageway afforded from the metal crates to discover him in the corner, facing east.

Continue to follow the wall until you can approach the guard from behind, and then assassinate him with the Falcon 2. While this final guard does carry a Med-Kit (25% Health Restore) we’re going to inspect him on the return trip to steel ourselves for the encounters in the final dataDyne Base.

The Mainframe is located through the glass tunnel where we assassinated the second guard, so we’ll head back down to the south and then travel west into the tunnel upon arrival.

You’ll need to be cautious as you prepare to travel through to the Mainframe, as there’s a single guard waiting for your arrival on the other side. The most covert option available to you relies in carefully inching your way into the room and traveling to the north as soon as possible to avoid detection – if you’ve accomplished this, it’s a simple matter of approaching the guard from the side and going in for an assassination with the Falcon 2.
If your position has been compromised and the guard rushes to your position however, switch over to the Shotgun and respond with a single shot to silence his pursuit.

Continue heading to the west and you’ll find a desk aligned vertically that blocks the path. If you approach the desk you’ll discover the next guard stationed on the opposite side, facing to the south. You won’t be able to go around the desk without being discovered, so your only option available is to use the Shotgun to send the guard reeling from behind the desk. Once you’ve managed to blast the guard out of view with a single shot, you can head around the desk and then inspect his body for a Machine Gun clip.

The final guard in the West Wing can be found stationed to the northwest, facing east. Unfortunately, this means that we don’t have any means of assassinating the guard covertly, so we’ll need to depend on our Shotgun once more. Head around the next vertically aligned desk and prepare to open fire with the Shotgun in the northwest – you’ll be set upon almost immediately by the guard, so answer in kind and you’ll be able to take him out without sustaining too much damage.
Once the guard has been neturalized, ensure that you have at least one ammunition space available in your inventory, and then inspect the guard for 8 rounds of Shotgun ammunition.

If you continue to the west and reach the green couch, you’ll locate two items that have been placed on the desks to the south. The item on the left is the final Key Card that we’ll use to enter the Crash Site. The item on the right is an alien weapon called “The Disruptor”, which dataDyne has recovered from the UFO. The Disruptor is an incredibly powerful weapon that fires a blast of anti-matter which instantly disintegrates any target on impact. While this alien weapon doesn’t require ammunition to function, it does need to recharge between shots. Retrieve both items from their desks, and then continue to the west.

Once you’ve arrived in the northwest corner of the West Wing, you’ll locate the Mainframe; dataDyne’s centralized file server which contains information about the Crash Site. Approaching the Mainframe will allow Joanna to begin downloading the files to the Laptop that we secured from the northeast room in the second Operation Base. Once the files have been transferred successfully, we’ll be tasked with completing our final objective – locating the Crash Site. From the Mainframe, we’re going to retrace our steps back to the Atrium by heading east towards the glass tunnel that connects to the first room in the West Wing.

Inspecting the final guard to the north that we encountered on our first pass will provide us with a Med-Kit (25% Health Restore) that should nullify any damage that we incurred seeking the Mainframe. From here, we’ll head east towards the pair of glass tunnels that takes us back through to the Atrium, leaving the West Wing behind.

DATADYNE OPERATIONS BASE III – ATRIUM: MAP OVERVIEW

Returning to the Atrium, we’re going to make our way to the north into the final dataDyne Operations Base. From the glass tunnel that leads into the West Wing, head east until you find the previously-locked security door between a pair of dataDyne insignia’s. Walk through the doorway to the north, and you’ll locate the glass tunnel that takes us through to dataDyne Operations Base IV.

DATADYNE OPERATIONS BASE IV: MAP OVERVIEW

Once you’ve crossed over into the final Operations Base, switch over to the alien weapon that we acquired from the Mainframe, the ‘Disruptor’. You’ll be able to use the Disruptor against every guard in this area without running out of anti-matter ammunition – the only caveat is that you’ll only be able to fire a single blast every few seconds. The ammunition gauge for the Disruptor acts as a charge meter – when you fire, the meter has to ‘build up’ to its full potential, and can only be fired again when the ammunition reaches that point after a few seconds.

If you’d rather deal with the guards instantly without heeding the recharge of the Disruptor, you can always use the Shotgun instead, or use it as a backup weapon in the event that you miss your target.

When you’re ready to continue, we’ll take the path to the left and begin heading north through the corridor, stepping over the body of the guard that previously guarded the first Key Card room. You should encounter the dataDyne guard shortly thereafter – you can either use the Disruptor to disintegrate him entirely, or the Shotgun to blast him away – in either case you’ll take him out with a single shot of your preferred weapon.

Follow the path as it turns to the west and you’ll encounter the next guard as you reach the corner. Once again, you can use the Disruptor or the Shotgun to dispatch the guard, with the latter allowing you to inspect his body for 8 rounds of Shotgun ammunition.

We’re going to continue to follow the path to the north from our current position, making sure to stay on the right side and stepping on the rows of white tiles to ensure that we line up with the next dataDyne guard that paces vertically in this area. Once you can make out the legs of the next dayaDyne guard, open fire with the Disruptor/Shotgun and you’ll neutralize the guard before he’s gotten a chance to do some proper damage.

Continue following the path to the north and then as it turns to the east, and you’ll encounter the final dataDyne guard patrolling vertically in front of the previously-locked security door that leads to the Crash Site. Open fire with the Disruptor/Shotgun to take the guard out, and then walk through the doorway to complete your mission.

UFO CRASH SITE: MAP OVERVIEW

Unfortunately, things are about to go south for Joanna Dark the second she’s stepped onto the Crash Site.
For one thing, all remnants of the UFO have been transported elsewhere, leaving her without any evidence to its existence, and for another, dataDyne has been alerted of your tour of their facility, and have prepared an ambush for your arrival.

You’ll be able to put up a bit of resistance with the Fantom, but it’s inevitable that you’ll run out of ammunition. With the inability to switch to any of your other weapons, you’ll only be able to survive the onslaught for so long until you’re completely overwhelmed by the dataDyne soldiers.

Swarming around the Agent, the dataDyne soldiers cease fire and force Joanna to surrender – she can only comply with their orders as they prepare to move her from the Crash Site.
Admittedly, things look a bit grim for Carrington Institute’s finest…
