Clocking Out for good


Once you’ve found your way back to Grunty Industries you’ll need to use the pipe in front of the robot to cross onto the other side of the shore to the right. After you’ve crossed it’s just a simple matter of Flip Flapping upward to the Wonderwing Pad. When you’re ready, face toward the north and execute your Wonderwing ability. You’ll need to run straight ahead, collecting a single note (54) as you do so before jumping up to the next platform and taking out the Gruntling with your golden glow to protect Banjo. Collect both notes (56) on this level before descending onto a platform below harboring a single Gold Nugget (2).

Jump onto the platform to the left to take out the Gruntling and grab the next note (57) before jumping up toward the Livewire on the wall and defeating the Bee Swarm to your left. Once you’ve done that you’re free to turn off the Wonderwing Ability. Grab the note (58) on the Bee Hive platform and work your way to the right where the Livewire once was. From here Flip Flap up towards the Shock Spring Pad and collect the note (59) waiting here. Use the Shock Spring Pad to boost yourself up to the highest point in Grunty Industries, then execute a Bill Drill on the crumbly looking square on the floor and get ready to get angry!

Blistering Buttons


Akin to the Vapor Scrubs before it, the Blistering Buttons Room is filled with noxious gases which will slowly ebb away at your health while you try to solve it’s puzzle. In this room you’ll be tasked with spelling out “GRUNTILDA” with the large red buttons provided all the while your health quickly diminishes. Because you’ll want to get through this puzzle as quickly as possible it’s best to refrain from using the Bill Drill to press in the buttons and instead use Banjo’s Pack Whack ability to slam in the buttons as quickly as possible to save time. You’re free to use the honey energy in the corners to provide yourself with more time, but do try to focus on completing the puzzle.

Once you’ve manage to spell out ‘GRUNTILDA’ with the buttons without any mistakes you’ll be rewarded with a Jiggy which will pop up at the base of the puzzle. While the puzzle will remain finished, the poisonous gas will still seep into the room so you’ll want to snatch up the Jiggy (6) as quickly as possible before you succumb to the deadly vapors. If you’d like, you’re free to grab some Honey energy around the puzzle if you haven’t already before clearing the gap to the north. Once you touch down on the other side, be sure to grab the Note Nests (69) on either side of the exit and then leave the gas behind.

Whew! That was a close call. Once you’ve dealt with the Blistering Buttons we’ll head back to the Wonderwing pad to the south and activate it once we get on top of it. Head to the right and use the Wonderwing to take out the Spookos until you reach the original Livewires we encountered at the start of Grunty Industries. From here we’ll ascend the platforms toward the entrance, but we’re not leaving just yet! Instead, let’s locate the Fire Egg toll on the wall beside the entrance and let loose a single Fire Egg inside. Doing so will activate the three platforms to the right, which you’ll need to jump onto to make it to the other side.

Head up toward the entrance and wait until the first platform makes an appearance, from here you’ll need to jump to the right and land on the remaining two platforms that will take you to the other side. In case you do fail, you might want to exit Grunty Industries and re-enter as when you die you’ll respawn from the last door you enter, and without using this to your advantage you’ll respawn above the Blistering Buttons room if you do fall in. Once you reach the other side we’ll grab the Jinjo (4) and head south toward a sheet of metal grating. Once you touch down you’ll need to locate the conveyor belt to the left. Time your jump precisely and keep your control pad pressed firmly to the left to conquer the conveyor belt and make it to the center of the machine. Collect the four notes (73) around the perimeter of the machine and then execute a Bill Drill on the crumbly square to drop into the Furnace Stores.

Furnace Stores


Upon dropping into the Furnace Stores you’ll find yourself amongst countless crates, you’ll learn to love these however, as they keep you above the reach of the Boom Boxes! Head south from the entrance to grab two notes (75) then jump onto the crates to your right. You should manage to see a red flashing pad concealed behind the crates, drop down and use the pad to execute your Wonderwing ability. Once you’ve done that just continue north and then right to deal with the horde of Boom Boxes as well as pick up your final Hollow Honeycomb Piece (12) which lies just out of sight behind the crates.

Keep heading left until you reach the end of the room which harbors a single note (76) behind a stack of crates and then head north until you come across a concealed green pad just behind a tower of crates that harbor a Jiggy at the very top. Disable your Wonderwing ability and use the Shock Spring Pad to boost yourself up to a higher vantage point and collect the Jiggy (7) once you touch down. From here Feathery Flap diagonally to the south west to collect your next note (77) atop a crate and then drop down a level to grab the next note (78).

From here let’s jump back up to the crate above and then head to the left in order to begin our trek to cross the green bridge. Be wary of the pipe that extends into the the center of this bridge though, as it will harbor a Red Chompa inside, the only one in our adventure. It’s a long way down to the store floors, so be sure to execute your Rat-A-Tat Rap as you jump by to deal with the Chompa inside. On the other end of the green bridge you’ll manage to locate a Note Nest, grab the Note Nest (83) and Feathery Flap to the left to locate the entrance. A simple Flip Flap will take you back to Grunty Industries.

Grunty Industries


Right, instead of working our way back to the moving platforms, let’s instead head over to the right via conveyor belt use a Feathery Flap to take us down to the south where we’ll locate a Note Nest (88) as well as a platform out in the middle of the lava. Let’s Feathery Flap to this platform and continue our flight to the next platform to the left to grab another Golden Nugget (3). We’ll use a final Feathery Flap to bring us back to the shore to the left whilst avoiding the minions and we’ll head south until the lava crosses our path. From here, let’s jump over the lava stream to the right and continue until we see a swimming pool.

After all of this hard work in such a sweltering atmosphere, I’d say it’s about time for a quick dip! Use your Flip Flap ability to gain the required height and then direct yourself toward the pool, doing so will plunge you into its relaxing waters. Not only will this help Banjo and Kazooie to chill out and cool off, but you’ll also find your next Golden Nugget (4) at the bottom. Once you’ve collected the Nugget we’ll cut the swim short and hop out from the pool. From here continue to the left and jump over the stream of lava, then head south once we jump over the same stream a second time.

Let’s follow the edge to the left until we locate a pipe not too different than we ones we encountered outside of the Klungo battle, once you’ve done that we’ll grab the three notes (91) just north of here and then jump south over the pipe. Head to the right once you’ve cleared the pipe and you’ll slide down a steep incline where you’ll find your next three notes (94) where the slope levels off. You might have noticed the rather noxious green goop that surrounds the area below, if you are to slip into it you’ll lose four units of health, so let’s not play in it, shall we?

Instead let’s avoid the green stuff altogether by jumping to the south west and onto the pillar which harbors another Golden Nugget (5). Refrain from jumping into the goop to rescue the notes below, and instead let’s jump to the south west onto a plot of land that the goop hasn’t quite reached yet. Once you’ve Feathery Flapped safely down to this clear spot, you’ll manage to spot a Shock Spring Switch which we’ll need to use to gather up the final two Golden Nuggets in Grunty Industries. Use the Bill Drill or Pack Whack to slam the switch which will reveal the location of the activated Shock Spring Pad.

Feathery Flap north east to get back onto the Golden Nugget pillar, and then north west to land onto the sloped platform. From here execute your Talon Trot to tackle the steep slope and then hop over the pipe to the north. From here continue north and hop over the lava stream to locate the Shock Spring Pad. Using the Shock Spring Pad, boost yourself up to the tin roof where the Gruntlings relentlessly patrol, here you’ll find your next Golden Nugget (6). Avoid the Gruntlings as they take 5 hits to defeat and collect the two notes (96) placed precariously on the red pipes connecting the two buildings.

Once you manage to cross the red pipes without falling off, make your way over to the second tin roof where you’ll locate your final Golden Nugget (7). As soon as you manage to avoid the patrolling Gruntlings that survey the rooftops, Snatch up the final Golden Nugget and Miss Bucket will inform you that you’ve collected enough gold for her to recast a brand new Jiggy! Let’s jump off the roof to the north and continue to the left until we find the staircase. Once you’ve done that ascend the staircase and approach Miss Bucket to claim your reward.

After Miss Bucket has been filled with the scattered Gold she’ll make her way over to the Jiggy press where the sought after Nuggets will mix with the molten magma and fuse together, making a brand new fresh off the press Jiggy! Jump onto the press to the right and collect the Jiggy (8). Once you’ve nabbed the new Jiggy we’ll have finished up all we can do inside Grunty Industries as Banjo and Kazooie; remember, we haven’t taken our Totem to Mumbo yet… On that note, let’s descend the stairs and head right and then north to locate the platforms once more and exit once we climb to the top.

Finishing Freezing Furnace
