Chapter 1-3: Reunion to Repulsion

Cooper is the first to speak, “Sorry, I kinda got held up on the way! But at least you’re okay. C’mon, let’s go home. I think there’s a Soccer game on TV Tonight” a round of applause as he destroys the mood entirely. “Groan! You’re kidding!” Amber moans, “tie me up to the chair again!” Suddenly the lights in the Archives begin to flicker as a looming shadow stretches across the couple, Amber looks up and gasps! From around the corner a large mechanized pair of legs hobble around a bookshelf, housing a small balding man with wild white hair in the top. As Amber and Cooper plot their escape the man raises a finger into the air and clears his throat, “Not so fast! You won’t want to show yourself in public when I’m finished with you!” The mechanized man withdraws a Ray-gun from within his lower half and takes aim at Amber! With a brilliant flash of green light the professor manages to hit his intended target. Amber writhes in pain as she clutches her face in her hands. Here comes a shocking reveal…

Once your energy has been decided at a mere 5 Health Points, Amber will whip around revealing her new grotesque Ghouly look as she screams. Cooper returns a scream of his own, but what really sets him for a Super Scary Shock is the way Ghouly-Amber blows him a subtle kiss shortly after, eugh. Given your energy, this Super Scary Shock sequence will drain your life to nothing if you mess it up, so do your best to solve the sequence and you’ll be ready to tackle the problem at hand; restoring Amber to her slimmer self. Once Crivens has finished his speech the Challenge Door on the opposite end of the room will open and two Skeletons will shamble in towards Amber. The Skeletons are focused completely on Amber, so if you rush in and protect your Damsel in Disgust you won’t take any damage. Once you’ve finished with that, continue down the row of bookcases where the Skeletons initially came from, and you’ll manage to locate the Challenge Door to the left.

CELLAR

From where you start off in the Cellar follow the wine rack to your immediate right around the corner and break open every wine barrel to reveal the Ghoulies inside. Once you’ve toured the entire room you’ll manage to defeat 4 Imps, 3 Skeletons and 11 Spiders. With that out of the way continue to the area with an open Challenge Door and approach it. Doing so will bring you face to frame with a new breed of Ghouly; the Haunted Door! Now that you’ve exposed the door, work your way back to the doorway that you’ve entered the room from and you’ll spot a One-Hit Wonder! Soup Tin behind the wine rack. This Super Soup allows you to defeat any Ghouly with just one hit, be it a powerful punch or a tossed item from afar. Once you pick up the Super Soup turn back around and you’ll find a collection of bottles atop a small barrel. With the bottles in hand, head back toward the Haunted Door and then hurl a bottle in its direction. Once it you’ve defeated the Haunted Door, head through the open frame to begin Chapter 2.
