Project Natal cost announced, plus has the true name been revealed?

Rumours doing the rounds on ‘tha intaweb’ suggest that Project Natal, Microsoft’s attempt to lessen the Wii’s stranglehold on the market, is to be released as Wave. Quite nice but we think that’s a slow burner personally. It’s certainly not as much as a shock as when Revolution got changed to Wii.

Also doing the rounds is the news that Wave / Natal / whatever will launch at the price of $149; more than originally envisaged and it translates at about £100 for us Brits.

And that’s relevant to us because …? Well we know that Rare are heavily involved in Natal development, with rumours that Perfect Dark 2 may be one of the games they have in the works for the Xbox 360 add-on.

We’ll have more news as and when it surfaces. In case you didn’t know, there’s an event called E3 on the way next month and we’re hopeful that Rare will be showcasing some new stuff there. Stay tuned.
