Spinal returns to Killer Instinct; classic looks for Sabrewulf and Glacius!
Arising from the briny depths like an ancient vessel, Spinal has returned to Killer Instinct with a bone to pick! Topping the month of January, the latest update to Killer Instinct allows Ultra Edition owners to trawl the beaches of Shipwreck Shore for a bit of nautical nuance, and at just 500 KP it’s booty worth salvaging.
So how does Spinal match up against the likes of the other fighters? We haven’t the foggiest, as we’ve decided to to practice our fencing skills with a double dosage of Spinal action as he faces off against himself.
Check out the video below as Lerako manages to splice the mainbrace, blow the man down and somehow finish it all up with an Ultra Combo! (He’s starting to think he’s halfway decent – the nerve!)
With previous offerings of Orchid apparel and Jago designs earlier this month, two new classic costumes have been created for Sabrewulf and Glacius that hark back to their original Killer Instinct Arcade appearances. Ultra Edition owners also have access to further accessories under the Season One pass, for Glacius this includes a crystallized armor set, a seasonal set that fuses his frozen core with tree-like appendages and an insectoid configuration that draws some serious inspiration from the Xenomorph designs of H.R. Giger.
Sabrewulf’s new attire includes dapper Victorian dress; acknowledging the life he led before lycanthropy, a fleshed-out Zombie design with grisly amenities and a fully-mechanized Cyborg body. The Cyborg body is especially interesting, as selecting just the Cyborg Hands while catering to the Default design for the Body and Legs will have Sabrewulf mirroring his updated look in Killer Instinct 2 and Killer Instinct Gold!
Siding with his old standby, Lerako has decked out Sabrewulf with the aforementioned sequel rendition taking on Glacius in similar retro-wear, and positively leveling the stuffing out of him. Check it out!
